‘Birds, not birds?’ is an interactive sound installation which invites you to a walk in the forest following a pathway of synthetised bird sounds played from hidden speakers installed on trees. By trying to distingish the songs of the composed and the real birds, one can enter into a deep listening state and start to harmonise more and more with the nature that surrounds them.
The piece was commissioned in 2019 by the music festival Kolorádó, which is held in a forest next to Budapest.
